Stepping Stone Farm is a Connecticut Hunter & Jumper Association approved riding facility. The farm is located on sixty acres in the heart of Fairfield County horse country. Mrs. Weber has been director of the Stepping Stone Farm riding program for over 45 years in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The farm has two heated indoor arenas and two Olympic approved outdoor arenas. Stepping Stone Farm offers lessons seven days a week year round for all levels of riders from pre-school riders to grand prix.

The farm provides one of the safest and quietest environments for both children and adults to learn about the wonderful world of horses. During the cold winter months, parents and families are welcome to watch lessons from the comfort of our two heated viewing rooms.

Our professional instructors; Janie Weber, Juliana Starbuck, Amanda Starbuck, Kathy Fogg, Tiffany Lindeborn, Sarah Azzanto are active in the horse show industry. The outstanding training staff provides the students with a safe, educational and enjoyable riding experience at Stepping Stone Farm. Their exceptional knowledge from years of riding, showing, and working with horses is demonstrated in superior riding instruction.

The group lessons are made up of three to six riders and are scheduled in one-hour increments. Depending on the student’s ability and experience, they are placed into one of four group levels: beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

The farm offers both half hour and one hour private lessons. Pre-school riders will be in 30 minute private lessons. Our ten school horses are vetted through our safety program by Mrs. Weber. The teaching staff meets weekly to discuss students progress.

Stepping Stone Farm and Starbuck Equestrian requires 24 hours notice for lesson cancellations. All makeup lessons must be scheduled during the current eight-week session.
